Challenge and Resolution

  • The Chambers did not have an out of hours security provision to provide a deterrent and safeguarding measures for the barristers and colleagues working out of hours.
  • Full recruitment was required for all security roles which we completed in one month including all vetting, SIA and right to work checks.
  • Due to its location, prestige and assets a secure and safe environment whilst maintaining high levels of customer service is crucial.
  • All security colleagues wear corporate uniforms to maintain the same standard as our customer and their colleagues, creating a brilliant first impression for visitors and customers.

  • TrackTik: TrackTik provides robust data capturing and analytics which connects frontline, back office, management and customers in one place bringing fluidity to security operations. The software enables TCFM to follow the progression of guards, reduce manual tasks, lower costs and provides intelligence to consult on improving protection whether this be through revised patrol frequencies/routes/time conducted etc. The platform has led to all security processes in the Chambers becoming digitised. For this Chambers, TrackTik has been used for: Real-time reporting of incidents -whilst security officers are on patrol, they can send email reports to the relevant TCFM/ Chambers stakeholders including photographic/video evidence. This is used as valid evidence if the Chambers is required to make insurance claims making them faster and more effective. Decision making based on data and analysis, facts and trends that enable us to consult on improving protection.
  • Key features of TrackTik are:
    • Ability to add photos and/or video to incident reports.
    • Automatic incident notification to the relevant stakeholders.
    • Prompt-based patrols that the officer has to view, acknowledge or answer.
    • Central updates and changes to patrols – categories and notifications can be easily made from any location via a cloud-based platform.
    • Randomised patrol routes can be set, reducing the risk of a criminal element planning their activity around a set time and location.
    • Monthly trend analysis of all security operations and incidents allowing proactive responses to trends.
    • Patrol point customisation each patrol point can be customised to have different levels of depth and breadth depending on the risk profile.
    • Real-time officer location maps in the unlikely event of something happening to an officer, the device will send an alert to not just the team in the Chambers, but also to our 24/7 Security Operations Centre.
