Challenge and Resolution

  • TCFM manage security for highly sensitive areas, including electrostatic discharge (ESD) zones and R&D environments where we patrol all areas, report hazards and faulty machinery, and oversee operations from a control room with comprehensive CCTV monitoring.

Innovation

  • TrackTik: TCFM funded and implemented TrackTik, allowing the customer to benefit from real time reporting of incidents, extended incident categories allowing reporting of other services, and decisions made based on data analysis. It has also moved our security offering to a paperless system.
  • Facilitating an ‘Out of Hours’ service: TCFM took calls and queries from couriers and customers during COVID-19 to support them and their customers. Our security team handled over 230 calls and facilitated 22 couriers in the first 15 day period without any escalations or concerns raised, far exceeding the predicted 5-10 per month.
  • Site Monitoring Enhancements: We have transformed the monitoring and access control across the estate. Service enhancements include:
    • New command and control software in Corby and Nuneaton. This manages security alarms, CCTV, ANPR and Barrier controls.
    • New expansive high definition IP CCTV.
    • The inclusion of the very latest 360’ PTZ Panovu cameras providing unhindered monitoring and no “missed areas” for coverage.
    • Each local site reports to the master command and control centre through the SMART cloud infrastructure with 4G transmission, removing the need for broadband on each site.
    • Remote arm and disarm for local sites for door lock and unlock for out of hours.
    • The ability to review and monitor out of hours Corby delivery drivers in real time and high quality video.
    • Back up intruder alarm signalling installed.
    • Installation of remote access across the UK. This has substantially reduced callouts and costs to the customer on issues.
    • Visitor and colleague overflow carpark barriers installed at Corby and Nuneaton with integrated ANPR and recorded IP intercoms.

Audits

  • TCFM has never dropped below 95% with most sites achieving 100% month on month.
  • Any issues raised by audits or the customer are addressed and rectified within 24 hours.
