Soap2o Water Soluble Soap Sachets Cleaning Trial Case Study

Soap 2o was developed to be an effective hand cleaning product that reduces the soap industry’s impact on the planet. Wrapped in a PVA soluble film, Soap2o products stop at the customer, with no waste to dispose of and 100% recyclable packaging.

Implementation Process:

  • Assessment and Planning: Determine the number of dispensers required or currently on site.
  • Installation: Providing the soap dispensers currently on site are refillable, there is no requirement to change these.
  • Training: Colleagues will have initial training on diluting the soap using pods.
  • Integration: Refilling soap will continue as normal with the new procedure to mix the soap.

Solution

  • Reduced Storage Requirements
    • Due to the small PVA film capsules, the storage requirements are drastically reduced.
    • 10 pallets of standard soap would be 32 feet tall if stacked on top of each other, and the equivalent amount of Soap2o would be just 1.75 feet tall.
  • Reduced CO2 Emissions
    • Due to the greatly reduced quantities, the CO2 emissions from transporting the soap are also greatly reduced.
    • 10 pallets of standard soap would produce 1.55 tonnes of CO2 emissions, the equivalent quantity of Soap2o being transported the same distance only produces 0.035 tonnes of CO2.
