Challenges and Resolutions
- High Colleague Turnover
- By remaining close to the contract, TCFM managers identified a trend where colleagues appeared to be moving on quicker from the sites in the South of England as opposed to those in the North meaning TCFM faced was a higher turnover for sites in the South.
- TCFM identified that this was due to the higher standards of living in these areas compared to the current pay rates.
- For this instance, TCFM discussed this issue with the customer and suggested a potential increase in rates of pay by benchmarking rates based on their location as opposed to a nationwide payrate.
- The customer was very responsive to this and agreed to the increase, which was very well received by our cleaning colleagues and has led to an increase in colleague retention.
- Reward and Recognition
- As our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do, another highlight we are proud of is our consistent colleague of the month reward and recognition scheme that was set in place to incentivise the contract and ensure colleagues are motivated to do better and want better in terms of progression.

- At the contract’s start, TCFM conducted weekly reviews and audits to ensure the contract moved forward as efficiently as possible.
- Weekly audits allowed real time operations assessment, identifying and resolving issues or discrepancies.
